At HomeCare Professionals, being part of the community means more than providing care in the home. It means showing up, building relationships, sharing helpful resources, and being there for older adults and families wherever they may be on their care journey.

Recently, Amanda Cockriel, Client Services Director for our Manteca office, represented HomeCare Professionals at the Manteca Senior Center Health and Wellness Fair.

The event brought together local organizations, professionals, and community members with a shared goal: helping older adults live healthier, safer, more connected lives.

Being a Resource for Manteca Seniors and Families

Health and wellness fairs offer an important opportunity for older adults and their families to learn about the services and resources available right in their own community. For Amanda, it was also a chance to have meaningful conversations, answer questions, and connect with people who may be beginning to think about what additional support could look like for themselves or someone they love.

Amanda brings a unique perspective to those conversations. In addition to serving as Client Services Director for our Manteca office, she has years of experience in personal care, caregiver support, staffing coordination, and client services.

Whether someone needs help today or is simply gathering information for the future, we believe having a trusted local resource can make navigating care decisions a little easier.

Giving Back by Showing Up

For HomeCare Professionals, community involvement is an extension of our mission to help. We believe supporting older adults also means supporting the communities where they live, connecting families with useful information, and developing relationships with other organizations serving local seniors.

That is why events like the Manteca Senior Center Health and Wellness Fair are so meaningful to us. They give us an opportunity to listen, learn, share resources, and strengthen the connections that help make Manteca a supportive place to age.

Thank you to the Manteca Senior Center for bringing the community together, and to everyone who stopped by to visit with Amanda and HomeCare Professionals. We loved being part of the day!

Andy Howard CEO at HomeCare Professionals
Andy Howard is a Bay Area Native who holds a BA in Political Science (University of Colorado at Boulder, ’97). After college Andy worked in the surging tech industry. His Grandmother however, would suffer a significant decline in health and ultimately needed in-home care. The experience of a loved one depending on outside help to age in place proved to be pivotal for Andy as he left the tech industry in 2002 for an opportunity in the home care world with a large provider. After having success in home care, but being frustrated by corporate constraints Andy founded HomeCare Professionals in 2005. He methodically built the company one client at a time by focusing on hiring quality caregivers to ensure positive outcomes. Currently Andy serves as the CEO of HomeCare Professionals and is also highly active in the non-profit organization California Association of Health Services at Home (CAHSAH) which advocates for a higher standard of in-home care for those who wish to remain living at home in California.
