Meet Lucretia Maxey

Lucretia has dedicated nearly four decades to caregiving, providing support to individuals and families throughout California, from Fresno to Sacramento. Her experience began in 1987, and she joined HomeCare Professionals in December 2025.

Since becoming part of our Sacramento team, Lucretia has appreciated the warm welcome she received from her colleagues. She takes pride in being a dependable, honest, and dedicated caregiver who always strives to provide the best possible support.

For Lucretia, one of the most meaningful parts of caregiving is bringing smiles to her clients’ faces. Her years of experience and genuine commitment to helping others make her a wonderful addition to the HomeCare Professionals family.

Meet Karie G.

Karie’s experience with caregiving began close to home, as she spent many years caring for her father. As his sole caregiver, she understood the daily responsibilities of supporting a loved one and how difficult it could be to find dependable assistance when she needed a break.

After her father’s passing, Karie decided to use that personal experience to help other families facing similar challenges. She wanted to become someone families could rely on, giving them the opportunity to rest and recharge while knowing their loved ones were receiving compassionate care.

Her background has given her a special appreciation for the needs of family caregivers and the importance of having someone trustworthy to turn to for support.

Thank You for Making a Difference!

At HomeCare Professionals, we know that exceptional caregiving comes from people who genuinely care about the well-being of others. Lucretia and Karie each bring their own experiences, strengths, and dedication to our Sacramento team.

Congratulations, Lucretia and Karie, on being named our October Caregivers of the Month! Thank you for the kindness, commitment, and compassion you share with our clients and their families.

We’re grateful to have you both as part of the HomeCare Professionals family!

Andy Howard CEO at HomeCare Professionals
Andy Howard is a Bay Area Native who holds a BA in Political Science (University of Colorado at Boulder, ’97). After college Andy worked in the surging tech industry. His Grandmother however, would suffer a significant decline in health and ultimately needed in-home care. The experience of a loved one depending on outside help to age in place proved to be pivotal for Andy as he left the tech industry in 2002 for an opportunity in the home care world with a large provider. After having success in home care, but being frustrated by corporate constraints Andy founded HomeCare Professionals in 2005. He methodically built the company one client at a time by focusing on hiring quality caregivers to ensure positive outcomes. Currently Andy serves as the CEO of HomeCare Professionals and is also highly active in the non-profit organization California Association of Health Services at Home (CAHSAH) which advocates for a higher standard of in-home care for those who wish to remain living at home in California.
