Some causes are bigger than any one organization, and protecting older adults from abuse is certainly one of them.

Don attended the Play It Forward Charity Golf Tournament at Morgan Creek Golf Course, joining Bristol Hospice, Bender Insurance Solutions, and other members of the community for a day dedicated to making a difference. The event supported the important fight against elder abuse while bringing together local professionals, organizations, and advocates around a shared cause.

Elder abuse can take many forms, and protecting older adults requires awareness, education, advocacy, and people who are willing to look out for one another. Events like Play It Forward are a meaningful reminder of what can happen when a community comes together with a common purpose.

We are grateful for opportunities to stand alongside other organizations that serve older adults and their families. Beyond a day on the golf course, it was a chance to strengthen community connections, raise awareness, and support efforts that help older adults live with the safety, dignity, and respect they deserve.

Thank you to everyone who participated, supported the tournament, and helped shine a light on this important cause. When businesses, care organizations, and community members come together, we can create a stronger network of support for the people who need it most.

Andy Howard CEO at HomeCare Professionals
Andy Howard is a Bay Area Native who holds a BA in Political Science (University of Colorado at Boulder, ’97). After college Andy worked in the surging tech industry. His Grandmother however, would suffer a significant decline in health and ultimately needed in-home care. The experience of a loved one depending on outside help to age in place proved to be pivotal for Andy as he left the tech industry in 2002 for an opportunity in the home care world with a large provider. After having success in home care, but being frustrated by corporate constraints Andy founded HomeCare Professionals in 2005. He methodically built the company one client at a time by focusing on hiring quality caregivers to ensure positive outcomes. Currently Andy serves as the CEO of HomeCare Professionals and is also highly active in the non-profit organization California Association of Health Services at Home (CAHSAH) which advocates for a higher standard of in-home care for those who wish to remain living at home in California.
